I know spring is always a time coaches and advisors are looking to plan trips, camps, and tournaments or are looking for equipment for our teams or clubs. In a time where school budgets for these activities are on the decline, coming up with the funds to accomplish these activities becomes tougher and tougher for coaches.

I am a high school business teacher and varsity basketball coach in North Dakota . I am always working on fundraising projects for my basketball program to help fund my sport. I have come up with a fundraiser that is one of the easiest to do, along with providing the biggest profits.

My group sells prepackaged bags of fireworks that will be delivered in June in time for fireworks season. I have been involved in the business in conjunction with Generous Jerry's Fireworks for over 10 years. I have personally selected every item that goes into the assortments to ensure you will get a fabulous selection of every type of firework available. We understand state laws vary around the country and we kept that in mind when we developed your firework assortment. .

The assortments are priced at $49.95 with every bag easily containing over $50 worth of fireworks. Some of the items that may be included in each assortment follow:

Roman Candles, Artilley Shells, 100 Shot Saturn Missiles, Firecrackers, Sky Rockets, Bottle Rockets, Parachutes, Multi Shots, Sparklers, Snakes, Smoke Balls, Tons of Cones, Jumping Jacks, Cracking Balls, Snaps, Strobe Lights, Wheels, Ground Bloom Flowers, Spinners, Lots of Fountains, Toy Cars/Tanks, and more! All products are name brands such as Black Cat or Lighting Bolt, not generic! You will not be disappointed with the selection.

Every assortment will be sent to you containing only items that are legal to sell according to your state's specific Fireworks Sales regulations.

Your cost for the bags depends on the number of assortment bags you order.

As you can see this has huge profit potential for your team. I only have about 25 total kids in my basketball program, so raising money can be tough. I have each kid sell 5 bags each, this gives the team a total of 125 bags sold. We make $20.95 on each bag for a total profit of over $2,600! Just think what a larger organization could make doing this. Think about how many cookies, candy bars, or magazines you would have to sell to make that much.

Remember to tell customers they are spending $25.00 to $30.00 on fireworks and the rest of the $49.95 is going straight to your team or organization. That has been a great selling point for us and the fact that this is a product that everyone buys anyway. Why not give half the money your spending on fireworks to the school!

So, here is what you need to do. First, decide you want to raise money for your team, group or organization. Second, send an e-mail letting me know that your organization will be participating in this fundraiser and I will fax you an order sheet. Next, start taking orders and collecting money. All orders must be in by March 21; this is to ensure that I can get all fireworks ordered and packed by June. The balance owed for the fireworks is due by April 3.

All prepackaged bags will be hand delivered in early to mid June; however you will not be able to distribute the bags until sometime between June 27 th – July 5 th (or whenever your state's fireworks sales regulations permit).

Remember these bags are prepackaged for you with every type of fireworks you can imagine and each bag contains well over $50.00 in fireworks. They are delivered for FREE and your profits are huge! All your organization has to do is pre-sell the bags.
